Frequently Asked Questions

Licensing, insurance, contracts, and pricing, answered plainly.

Yes. Our business is licensed under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, and every guard we deploy holds a valid individual Ontario Security Guard Licence. We verify licences before assignment and track renewal dates.
Yes. We carry commercial general liability insurance and maintain WSIB coverage for all personnel. Certificates of insurance and WSIB clearance certificates are available on request. Most commercial clients ask for both, and we send them without fuss.
Long-term contracts provide ongoing coverage with monthly billing, dedicated account management, and consistent guards who learn your site. Short-term contracts cover events, seasonal needs, and temporary gaps, with defined minimum booking windows and faster turnaround from enquiry to deployment.
Yes, subject to guard availability. Contact us and we will confirm whether we can deploy and how quickly. We would rather tell you no immediately than leave a site uncovered.
No. Under Ontario law, licensed security guards are unarmed. Our guards are trained in observation, reporting, de-escalation, and lawful Use of Force protocols appropriate to licensed security work. Any company advertising armed guards for general private security in Ontario is worth questioning closely.
We serve Hamilton & the Greater Toronto Area. If your site is outside that region, contact us anyway. Depending on the contract length and scope, we may still be able to help.
Students and educational institutions receive reduced rates on both guard services and installations. Check the eligibility box on the quote form, and we will verify your status with a student ID, enrolment confirmation, or institutional email before applying the discount. Full details are on our student discount page.
Yes. When a fire alarm or sprinkler system is impaired, offline, or under repair, most insurers and fire codes require a continuous human fire watch. We supply that coverage at short notice, with the patrol logs you'll need for your records.
Yes. Our door staff are Smart Serve licensed as well as security licensed, which is what a venue serving alcohol needs. They're trained to manage entry, capacity, and intoxicated patrons without escalating a situation.
Both. Uniformed guards are the default, because visible presence prevents more incidents than it catches. Plainclothes coverage is available for retail loss prevention and situations where a visible guard would simply move the problem elsewhere.
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons clients come to us. We can assess the site, install CCTV, alarms, and access control, and staff it with licensed guards under a single contract and a single point of contact.
Rates depend on guard type, total hours, site location, risk level, and how much notice we have. Because those vary widely, we quote per site rather than publishing a flat hourly rate. The quote you receive is the rate you are invoiced.
As much as you can give us. A week or more lets us assign guards who suit the venue. That said, we regularly handle short notice bookings, so ask even if the event is days away.
Supervisors verify post attendance, and absences are backfilled from our standby roster. Coverage you have paid for is coverage you receive.
